Born and raised in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Brysen took to art at an early age. He followed his passion and was the on-staff illustrator for the Fayetteville High School newspaper and graduated in 2009. After attending the University of Arkansas for a year, he lived in Quebec, Canada for two years where he served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and learned French. In 2013, he returned to the U of A, where he worked at two different design internships while taking classes. In 2016, Brysen graduated with a BFA in Visual Design and an emphasis in Graphic Design and minored in French. In May 2018, his work for AIGA’s ‘Design for Democracy’ campaign was shown in Times Square during NYCxDesign week. In fall 2021, he taught a ‘Design Tools & Concepts’ course at the School of Art at the University of Arkansas as an adjunct professor.

He loves cats, video games, traveling, making t-shirt designs, running, teaching, and overanalyzing movies.
